THE "INTERWEAVING" (PARTICIPATION) FRAMEWORK
"Interweaving" = means taking an active part in weaving connections - people-to-people and people-to-place
We believe that without connection there can be no caring and no social investment in our places. As an Interweaver you can make all the difference in re-designing the "fabric" of your community. Come join us and make something beautiful in your place!
Design your own participation:-
- If you'd like a "virtual" role and to participate only online then choose from the options on the right of the below framework.
- For face-to-face involvement, consider the options on the left.
- If you're interested in training and development opportunity then choose from the options nearer the top.
You can also progress from one to the other and/or combine options that suit. Whatever you choose we look forward to welcoming you into our Interwoven world and thank you for your participation.
WHAT INTERWEAVING MEANS - SEE FOR YOURSELF!
"I really enjoyed working with and learning from Interwoven on the Heavitree Quarry Trails project. It was a brilliant example of what we as academics are increasingly expected to do, produce impactful knowledge for public benefit, and I really believe that academics could learn something from their community-led and multi-stakeholder approach that blends arts and science to produce vital new knowledge about the places that we live." - Jon Cinnamon - Lecturer in Human Geography, University of Exeter - Expert Volunteer

"Having moved to Exeter in 2007, we were looking to get to know Exeter better and meet new people. Volunteering for Interwoven productions has helped us to get to know the city we live in on a whole different level. Through volunteering for Interwoven productions, we have also met some wonderful people, some of which we now call friends - Lyn and Erik, Event Stewards and Volunteer Creatives

Dramaturg and Leverhulme Arts Scholar, David Lane says of Squilometres:-
"I think what you do is incredible – such fantastic work with clear social and creative purpose and an obvious engine house at the heart of it pushing it all forward. People talk about art activating social change all the time, but this is proof positive that it can be done and it works. Brilliant."
