HOW TO GET THERE - THE FIRST THREE STEPS

1)  You need to be resident in or be able to travel easily to the place that you want to champion

2)  Check the Home Page and see if your Squilometre is already active and is looking for a Place Champion - if so, great!  You'll find full details on that Squilometre website.

3)  If it's not active yet then add your nomination and/or vote and then apply below to become a PLACE CHAMPION "BUD". 

NB - You don't need to be in Exeter, or even in Devon!  We're currently working on a distance learning package which will mean that you can train as a Squilometre Place Champion WHEREVER YOU ARE!!

We're not gonna lie - Place Champions are very, very special people.  It's not for everyone and there is a recruitment and induction process to go through. Our Place Champions are the life blood of what we do. That's why we package so many benefits and so much support for them ...

     .....   and every Place Champion needs a Sponsor to provide the funding for their training.

So this is an invitation to come join a growing group of "Buds" (as in "friends" and as in "waiting to bloom"!) who are waiting for those things to align.  If you work with us to help find your Sponsor then we can
​move through the process all the faster for you.

In the meantime you can network with each other via this closed Facebook Group to swap place histories and regularly connect with the existing Place Champions. For our part, we'll keep the Group stocked with as much information as we can.
