ALL ABOUT THE LITTLEHAM ESTATE
This is a unique initiative commissioned by the Woodbury, Exmouth and Budleigh Community Health & Wellbeing Board who have demonstrated an admirable humility in genuinely wanting to know the people of the Littleham Estate better - without presupposing the answers and without agenda.
They've commissioned Interwoven Productions CIC with just under £18,000 to find ways of opening that conversation with the residents of the Estate and help them effectively communicate their views to the powers that be.
What's the plan?
We've had to put a skeleton plan in place in order to secure the funding but it's deliberately as loose as we can possibly make it so that the residents' Pod can have as much influence as possible. What the plan looks like so far:-
DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS?
Where has the money come from?
It's part of the health and wellbeing budget that has been put aside especially for Littleham.
If it's ultimately from my taxes/NI contributions do I get a say in how it's spent?
YES, absolutely. We're looking to form a "Pod", that is a group of Littleham estate residents who will be supported to make the decisions about how it's spent.
Who are Interwoven Productions CIC and what is their role?
Interwoven have been doing this kind of work on estates in Exeter. JoJo Spinks has been developing ways of opening conversations, with people who wouldn't normally get involved, for 8 years. She's the founder of Interwoven but isn't on salary. She will be paid from that £18,000 for the hours she puts into Littleham.
Is it a "consultation" then?
No. It's not a consultation because we haven't got a plan for you to comment on. It's an initiative designed to start with what you want to say and how you want to say it.

- Have lots of conversations
- Bring together a Pod made up of people who live on the estate (if you've never done anything like that before - all the better!)
- Consider these questions (above) and decide how you'd like to communicate the answers along with your neighbours, to the powers that be - an exhibition, film, social media campaign, artwork, demonstration - whatever! The Pod decides!
- Celebrate - come together to celebrate your successes and discuss how we can ensure that the residents of the Littleham estate continue to have a strong voice.
